Michael O'Neill takes a brief diversion from the hectic Championship schedule tonight as he takes Stoke City to Wolves in the Carabao Cup. Wolves are heavy bookies' favourites but both clubs are fielding much-changed sides from their league openers. The tie will be decided this evening, settled by penalties if scores are level after 90 minutes and the winners will take on Gillingham at home in the third round next week. The fourth round is the following mid-week. Joe Allen, Thibaud Verlinden and Ryan Shawcross are missing for Stoke as O'Neill gives a chance to players to stake their claim for bigger roles this season. We will bring you all the latest Stoke City news, action and reaction from Molineux.
