The Italian champions face Lyon trailing 1-0 from the first leg before the coronavirus lockdown. There has been speculation that Sarri could lose his job if he fails to guide Juve to the quarter-finals - despite having led them to the club's ninth successive Serie A title. But former Chelsea boss Sarri threw down the gauntlet to the club's directors to avoid looking "like amateurs" by sacking him as a knee-jerk reaction should Juventus be eliminated by their French opponents. "I don't think my future is riding on this game," said Sarri in quotes reported by the BBC.
"He played many games in a short time, he rested a little and now he has trained with intensity and strength." Friday's game will only be Lyon's second since March after the French football season was ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic. Rudi Garcia's side were beaten on penalties by Paris-Saint Germain in last Friday's French League Cup final. But Garcia said his side won't be simply looking to defend their lead against Juventus. "Juve is a great team and it is demonstrated by the fact that even this year they won the Scudetto," he said. "We won't only want to defend; we will also want to score a goal.

Juventus — 5/11 Lyon — 38/5 Lyon seem likely to take a similar approach to their display against PSG in the French final; they defended well there but were short of quality in attack. Juve have the prowess up front to overcome the one-goal deficit if they are at their best. Juventus 2-0 Lyon (agg 2-1) Juventus vs Lyon Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions Having looked far less assured at the back this season, Al Hain-Cole expects the Bianconeri to struggle to contain Garcia's counter-attacking outfit Maurizio Sarri's men went down to a Lucas Tousart goal in the first leg way back in February, their first defeat of the Champions League campaign. Juventus vs Lyon Latest Odds Last Friday's Coupe de la Ligue final penalty shootout defeat against PSG was Les Gones' first competitive match since March, and they are 13/2 (7.50) outsiders to blow off the cobwebs with a shock win here. The visitors claimed a creditable 1-1 draw in their last visit to this stadium back in 2016, and you can get odds of 7/2 (4.50) on them booking a place in the quarter-finals by holding out for a stalemate once again. Juventus vs Lyon Team News Paulo Dybala will face a late fitness test as he recovers from a thigh injury, while Matteo De Sciglio and Douglas Costa are both ruled out. Youssouf Kone is injured and Kenny Tete and Marcelo both doubtful, although Memphis Depay is available once again after missing the first leg due to injury. Juventus vs Lyon Preview Despite extending their Scudetto-winning streak to nine in a row, the Bianconeri have not been entirely convincing this season - particularly in defence. Their record of 43 goals conceded in 38 Serie matches this season is their worst since 2011, which was the last time they failed to lift the title in a disappointing campaign that saw them way down in seventh. Having kept just one clean sheet in their 10 last matches of the league season - losing three of the final four - they look vulnerable to a Lyon attack that has scored in eight of their previous nine Champions League away matches. Juventus vs Lyon Tips and Predictions Indeed, odds of 10/11 (1.91) seem generous on both teams finding the net for Juventus' ninth match in 11, as well as a seventh Champions League away game in 10 for Rudi Garcia's side. Odds correct at the time of writing.
