The long-awaited third series of The Crown will return on November 17, Netflix has confirmed. The streaming service confirmed the news in a teaser video released earlier today, which features the first footage of Olivia Colman in character as Queen Elizabeth II. In the brief clip, the camera slowly moves towards an open door frame, which gives a glimpse at the Queen's royal chambers, before Colman herself appears in full royal regalia, wearing a crown and a blue sash. She then turns to face the viewer before the screen goes dark, followed by a message which reads: "Season 3. 17 November." Netflix also released a statement which parodied a traditional royal announcement.
