The affected items, which include various pesto products, are being removed as a precaution. They contain incorrect allergen information, and therefore present a potential safety risk to customers of major chains such as Tesco, ALDI and Waitrose. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has however subsequently warned the public not to consume any of the mentioned products. The regulatory body instead advises customers to return the recalled items to the relevant store as soon as possible in exchange for a full refund.
