The plant-based burger has landed just in time for Veganuary, and includes all the iconic flavours of the Colonel's Original Recipe. KFC's vegan burger is made with a bespoke Quorn fillet, which replaces the usual chicken fillet, and for the first time ever is coated in herbs and spices as created by the Colonel back in 1952. It's also served with vegan mayonnaise, crisp iceberg lettuce and is all sandwiched between a soft glazed bun. KFC vegan burger leaves fans 'astonished' over how 'insanely good' it tastes

Twitter is awash with praise from gobsmacked customers who can't get over how good the snack tastes. Commenting, one wrote: "Just tried the new @KFC_UKI vegan burger!!! And it's amazing!" Another confirmed: "Absolutely rate the KFC vegan burger, its amazing." Others were left "astonished" over the plant-based snack, while some wanted to go back for more. "Went to @KFC_UKI for a vegan chicken burger and I'm already wondering if it's too soon to go back and have another," wrote one. And the comments and good reviews just kept coming. One fast-food fan wrote: "The KFC vegan burger is so good holy s**t." Another added: "Ok so KFC's new vegan chicken burger is exquisite, nicely done." While a third couldn't taste the difference. The Twitter user wrote: "Turns out the new KFC vegan burger is actually good. "Couldn't tell that the mayo was actually vegan mayo. Crazy time we live in." The vegan burger is available now for £3.99, but doesn't come with any sides. Innovation Director at KFC UK and Ireland, Ira Dubinsky, said: "The Colonel was all about welcoming everyone to his table – now vegans, flexitarians and our fried chicken fans can all enjoy the taste of our Original Recipe together. "We've worked hard to perfect the flavour and make a Vegan Burger the Colonel would be proud of. It's the flavour of KFC, just with zero chicken."
