There was queuing traffic on the M23 near Crawley because of a police incident this afternoon (May 31). The exit slip road at junction 10 Copthorne Way on the southbound carriageway was shut by officers shortly after 5pm.
An eyewitness said earlier: "Avoid the roundabout Crawley/East Grinstead. "Loads of police pulled over some Hells Angels motorbikes." Highways England confirmed the slip road at junction 10 was closed due to a "police incident". It has since reopened and delays are starting to clear.
