U.K. unemployment falls while wages slow in September

Number of people in work across Britain has fallen by the most since 2015 ALTHOUGH it seems somewhat strange, there are quite a few situations in which a property is built, sometimes by mistake and in good faith... The U.K. unemployment rate in the three months to September edged down to 3.8%, while employment fell by 58,000, the Office for National Statistics said. Average weekly earnings slowed to 3.6% from 3.8%. Jobless claims rose 33,000 in October. Economists polled by FactSet expected a 3.9% unemployment rate, a 22,500 rise in claims and 3.8% growth in earnings.

The UK unemployment rate fell to 3.8% in the third quarter, from 3.9% in the previous period, according to the Office for National Statistics. The market had been expecting the jobless rate to remain at 3.9%. The claimant count rose by around 33.0k, compared to expectations of a 24.2k rise. Average weekly earnings grew 3.6%, below expectations of a 3.8% improvement.
