Welcome to the Evening Standard's Champions League coverage of Zenit St Petersburg vs RB Leipzig LIVE tonight. Having been drawn together in Group G against Lyon and Benfica, Leipzig and Zenit sit first and second respectively in what each of the four sides will have considered a winnable table. Despite Benfica losing two of their three opening games, results elsewhere mean they are just three points off leaders Leipzig - and that means the whole complexion of the group can swing on matchday four. Leipzig earned a valuable 2-1 victory over Zenit on matchday three, and Julian Nagelsmann's team head to Saint Petersburg seeking a similar result which would stand them in good stead for reaching the last-16. Live Updates KICK OFF KICK OFF! We are underway in St. Petersburg... Zenit vs RB Leipzig Werner benched amid January switch speculation Photo: AP Timo Werner will start on the bench for RB Leipzig tonight with coach Julian Nagelsmann preferring to use Youssef Poulsen as his lone striker for the trip to Zenit. The 22-year-old scored a hat-trick in the 8-0 drubbing of Mainz at the weekend, meaning he has now scored 13 goals in 15 appearances this season. Werner has been linked with Liverpool and, more recently, a January move to Chelsea. But RB Leipzig's sporting director Markus Krosche insists the club will not sell their prized asset. "Timo just extended his contract with us recently, and we're not thinking about letting him go at all," he told Bild. Ethan Ampadu, on loan from the Blues, starts on the bench along with England Under-21 international Ademola Lookman.
