The Gypsy King beat his American opponent in Saudi Arabia last night. It is the first time the Mancunian has stepped out of the boxing ring, having completed 30 unbeaten fights. Footage from the fight, though, shows the heavyweight used a rugby trick to get the better of Strowman. In the clip, the pair have been fighting for several minutes.
After a skirmish in the ring, Strowman has been put on the ground by barging into the corner before a kick from Fury. But the American was able to respond by putting the Gypsy King on the floor. They are back at it, though, as Fury's opponent climbs back into the ring. The Mancunian, though, sends a massive right-handed punch into the 36-year-old's face. And he crashes to the ground unconscious while the boxer celebrates. Once the result is announced, Strowman shocks the crowd by dunking Fury and walking out. This footage was soon shared on YouTube, where it has been viewed more than 200,000 times. But fans were left unimpressed at Fury's latest bout. "What a load of b******s," one said. Another commented: "You have to laugh. "Pure comedy show." While a third made a hilarious soap opera comparison. "Better acting than Emmerdale," they said. And a fourth added: "I waited 40 days for that? "Damn, I feel so empty now – that's a comedy show." With a fifth simply saying: "What a let down." It comes as the Gypsy King had a bizarre phone call with Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn. While Fury has targeted former rivalDeontay Wilder in his next fight. The pair battled to a controversial draw in Las Vegas, USA, last December.
