You can get that character skin by purchasing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order through the Epic Games Store.

Fortnite gets a Star Wars skin

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out now on Steam and consoles. But it's also coming to the Epic Games Store. This announcement comes as part of a surprise Fortnite event that brings the Star Wars universe to Epic's battle royale shooter. Around the time that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launched, a Star Destroyer ship from Star Wars appeared in the sky over Fortnite's map. It's unclear if anything else is going to happen, but Epic is, of course, already adding cosmetics.

Fortnite now has a full Stormtrooper armor set that players can wear during matches. You can get that character skin by purchasing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order through the Epic Games Store. No word yet on whether Epic plans to add the "I'm Han Solo" dance from Kinect Star Wars, but it absolutely should. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not exclusive to Epic Games Store on PC. Epic isn't even paying to keep it off of Steam.

The game is the first new EA game to launch on Steam and Origin at the same time in eight years. While it's not necessarily paying EA for an exclusivity agreement, it is still using the popularity of Fortnite to promote the game. The hundreds of thousands of players who will turn on Fortnite this weekend will see a Star Destroyed in the sky and players wearing a Stormtrooper skin. And that is going to lead many of those fans to look into Fallen Order, which is an excellent game. That could end up with Fortnite fans picking it up on Epic Games Store, which helps both Epic and EA.

It doesn't matter if you're a little short (or even too tall), you can grab the Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit in the Item Shop now until November 17 at 7 PM ET! On top of the addition of the Imperial Stormtrooper skin to Fortnite, it looks like there's even more Star Wars content on the way. A Capital ship has been spotted in the game's data, and apparently you can see it slowly sneaking into the game if you look high into the sky. What other Star Wars content is coming? We'll have to hang tight and see what Epic reveals...or wait for dataminers to suss stuff out!

Fortnite's latest lincesed tie-in is with Star Wars, with classic trilogy Imperial Stormtroopers now available as a skin in the game. It's available now for purchase in the item store. Or, if you buy Fallen Order from the Epic Store, you get it for free. Fortnite has once again paired up with one of the biggest media properties on earth for a cool new cosmetic. You can dress up as a stormtrooper now, and there are two ways to do it.

free battle

One, you can simply purchase the skin from the item shop. Or two, you can buy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. More specifically, you can buy Jedi: Fallen Order on the Epic Games Store to unlock the iconic suit in Fortnite. It's not a bad deal when you consider that the latest Star Wars game is actually pretty good. Our review of Jedi: Fallen Order states that it is a single-player exploration game that shakes up what we typically expect from Star Wars titles. There are some flaws, but on the whole, the Respawn-developed game is an enjoyable experience that manages to have actual stakes, despite being a prequel to the most recent movies. Disney, of course, owns both Marvel and Star Wars, and if Fortnite is family-friendly enough for one, it's good for both. Epic Games has made a very good play for getting people to download the Epic Games Store. Correction: A previous version of this article stated that you had to buy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to unlock the Imperial Stormtrooper skin in Fortnite. However, you can also just purchase the skin separately. Fortnite x Star Wars is happening. That's right, Fortnite is getting another massive crossover, this time with Star Wars, which is likely to promote Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn Entertainment's new single-player Star Wars game hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC in just one hour. And of course, it's probably also to promote the upcoming movie. That said, it's currently unclear how robust the crossover is. In fact, it may not be much more than a single skin. Word of the crossover comes way of an in-game store leak which reveals that a Stormtrooper skin is being added to the game, likely when the store updates in a matter of minutes. At the moment, this--and a ship--are all that have been discovered of the crossover, suggesting this is it, at least for now. Usually, when a larger crossover with a lot of content is near, leaks via game files of said crossover flood the Internet. However, there haven't been any pointing towards a Star Wars crossover prior to this leak. Now, unlike the skin, this suggests the crossover may have some meat to it, but for now, it's hard to know, especially considering these two things are (seemingly) the only Star Wars-related content hidden in the files + This Ship will appear in the map! pic.twitter.com/dexowzNoIe — HYPEX - Fortnite Leaks & News (@HYPEX) November 15, 2019 The Star Wars Ship is approaching the map! pic.twitter.com/6kaZrVMvBs — HYPEX - Fortnite Leaks & News (@HYPEX) November 15, 2019 Fortnite is available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
